European Vacation--Swier Style

So everyone arrived in Amsterdam. It is really nice to all be together. We have been wandering the city exploring the museums and the countryside. What an experience--taking the train and bus everywhere and learning how to get around the canal maze. The weather is warmer but with rains scattered through out the day--we are prepared and make quite the umbrella laden procession on the streets. Speaking of the streets no one has been taken down by a bike yet but there have been many close calls.

Dad's business associates took us on this grand day tour that encompassed the north and east side of the country and some great Dutch food as well. It's quite the thing to be in a country that you can cross in under 3 hours.

We are staying on the northern side of the city in a loft--its very exciting and in a historical ship building area.

Today we toured historical museums and that very historical area known as the Red Light District. Tomorrow we are off to the art museums.

So that's all for now but will update more as able!

Wants you to know that they had to take grandma to the hospital today. Two doctors said she has to go in to a home when she is let out of the hospital.

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

so you are all re-united again. does it feel like nearly 6 months? it's wednesday, around 10:30 am ... wondering what sights and sounds you all have experienced today. i'm sure that the swier family vacaction is yet again making some incredible memories. i just can't seem to get enough of the swier family vacation stories. i'm thinking my favorite stories so far have risen from your boston/nyc trip and your black hills trip. those are some good stories! can't wait to see the photos. i'm giving thanks for our friendship during this holiday. oh the joys of the red light district!
